Our Happy Customers

Izzy & Sophie stayed here many many times from July 2011 through June 2015. The entire staff always made us feel very comfortable with leaving our 4 legged kids in their hands for sometimes an extended period of time.

Airmid, my very spoiled, very active Belgian Malinois, reinjured her right hind leg one week before my trip to Italy, Greece and Turkey.  I considered canceling my trip, but my vet encouraged me to go as long as I trusted the staff at Tails of Hawaii.  I did, and I was right to do so! Heather, the owner, and her Mapunapuna staff really outdid themselves!

Rae W., Kaneohe, United States

2012-2015. Used for play care while I worked in town and boarding when I traveled.I absolutely LOVE this place and so does my 70lb Boxer.

Alaysa T., Makakilo, United States

On very short notice Heather was able have our Wendy picked up at the Honolulu international airport animal quarantine, and transported to the Tails of Hawaii facility near by.  Then after another last minute change of schedule, (my fault) our Wendy along with her freshly cleaned X-large kennel were transported to Aloha air cargo a few hours earlier than originally planned.  Heather and the rest of the staff cheerfully and expertly accommodated my schedule surprises.

This review is long overdue. I've been boarding my dog Marley here whenever we go on trips, since he was about 10 months old (he's 2 years old now.) He has also stayed for play care a few times, whenever we had a day full of activities (i.e.: family visiting, going places where dogs aren't allowed, etc) and we always feel bad if he has to stay home alone. Marley gets really excited when we drop him off, and they all know him.

Amber M., Aiea, United States

I absolutely LOVE this place.  To have a place to take my dog at anytime and not have him cages makes my life so easy.   my dog Kona loves to go for Playcare

J. M., Mililani, United States

I have been taken my boy to Tails of Hawaii from 2009-20012 at least once a week and also he stayed boarding for several times, the longest was 10 days the shortest 3. I can't say anything but POSITIVE about this place! My puppy absolutely LOVED it. The staff is awesome, they care a lot. When I picked him up after boarding they would always let me know how things went and also give a report card with detailed information ( that was very funny)!

Ksen P., North Vancouver, Canada

My pure bred show dog loves Tails of Hawaii and the staff!

Kinda pricy but worth the 5 stars!

Bryan I., Downtown, Honolulu, United States

First off the staff is amazing and wonderful I could tell that they truly are all animal lovers.  The staff, was very helpful since it was our first time there with our 8 month pup.

They did there initial evaluation and our baby Dallas passed, and since he had passed my husband an decided to have him try an do an over night stay to see how he would do.
